A little sibling bites a big sibling in the finger - that is the content of one of the world's most famous Youtube clips.

Earlier this week, it was reported that the family behind the Youtube account sold the clip for $ 760,999, as a Non fungible token - a form of digital ownership.

This meant that the clip would be taken down.

Now Charlie's father, Howard Davies-Carr, tells Quartz that the clip will remain after all.

- After the bidding, we contacted the buyer, who decided to leave the clip on Youtube.

He thought that video is an important part of popular culture and should not be taken down, he says.

The clip has been viewed over 885 million times since it was uploaded in 2007.
