Quarantine tests have confirmed that 32 new people have been infected with the mutant virus that spreads in India.

According to the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare, 32 men and women who entered Japan from the 16th of last month to the 15th of this month were confirmed to be infected.



In both cases, infection with the new coronavirus was confirmed by quarantine tests, but as a result of analyzing the gene of the sample at the National Institute of Infectious Diseases, a mutant virus spreading in India was detected.



The countries where I stayed before entering Japan were 27 in India and 4 in Nepal.



By the time they arrived in Japan, more than half were asymptomatic.



This brings the total number of quarantine tests found to be infected with the Indian mutant virus to 189.



In Japan, 29 people have been confirmed to be infected by the 24th of this month, and the Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare is strengthening border measures.
