The HBO Max streaming platform brings together the cast of the cult series "Friends" in a final episode that comes 17 after the end of the adventures of New York's most famous roommates.
An episode already available in France on the Salto platform.
It is also the return of six actors who have since taken different paths.
The long awaited return of Rachel, Joey, Phoebe, Monica, Ross and Chandler is finally here.
The platforms HOB Max in the United States and Salto in France uploaded the cast reunion episode of
Friends
, 17 years after the end of the series.
It is actually a show more than an episode, a talk show in which the actors who play the six friends meet, in the sets of the series.
They recall good memories, in the company of a multitude of prestigious guests.
This reunion is an opportunity to realize, for the actors as for the televiewers, that time has passed.

From the broadcast of the first images of this reunion, critics of uninspired Internet users have thus fired on the physique of the actors: abuse of cosmetic surgery, weight gain.
Nothing really surprising, however, among American actors who are all over fifty years old.
Lead role denied in
Desperate Housewives
Professionally, it has been difficult for the six actors to pull away from the characters in
Friends,
and none have really broken through since the series. Except of course Jennifer Aniston, aka Rachel. She is one of the best paid actresses in the world thanks to the romantic or family comedies she puts on. The actress recently gave a more interesting turn in her career, with the very successful series

She is now a producer, after several years as headliner of the

On the male side of the cast, David Schwimmer, aka Ross, immediately turned to directing after

Result: a series and a feature film, unknown to the French public.
But he made a small place for himself in Hollywood.
A role has also recently reboosted his career: that of lawyer Rob Kardashian, in the Netflix series on the OJ Simpson case.
It earned an Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actor.
Joey, played by Matt Leblanc, has never managed to break into the cinema.
He tried to keep his character from
Friends
in a spin-off series called
Joey
.
But the transplant did not take and the series was canceled after only two seasons, for lack of audience.

Conclusion: five seasons and all the same a Golden Globe for best actor in a sitcom.

have been harder for Matthew Perry, the actor who plays Chandler. All his series were canceled one after the other, and his various addictions did not help anything. In 2015, he still entered the main cast of the series
The Odd Couple
for the three seasons that this production will last.
For each, the role of their life remains their character in
Friends
. Even Jennifer Aniston hasn't had a role as big as Rachel's. The reunion episode is therefore also a tremendous spotlight for each of them.
