France fell under the bar of 19,000 Covid-19 patients hospitalized on Wednesday.

More exactly, 18,593 Coronavirus patients are currently hospitalized, against 19,430 the day before and 21,347 seven days earlier.

Only 671 people have been admitted in the past 24 hours, data published by Public Health France.

The figure, which had exceeded 31,000 at the height of the third wave, in mid-April, had fallen below 20,000 on Saturday for the first time since October 27.

Below 3,400 critical healing mark

In critical care services, which includes intensive care, intensive care and continuing care, there were 3,330 patients on Wednesday, against 3,447 the day before and 3,862 a week ago.

The number of patients in critical care remained around 6,000 between mid-April and early May, before dropping sharply since.

181 have been admitted since Tuesday in these services which take care of the most seriously ill patients.

More than 10 million French people fully vaccinated

On the vaccination side, 24,098,326 people have received at least a first dose in France and 10,102,350 have received two doses, since the start of the vaccination campaign at the end of December 2020.
