Who is the favorite union of the French?

According to figures released by the Directorate General of Labor (DGT) on Wednesday, the CFDT remains the leading private union, with 26.77% of the vote.

In addition to consolidating its position, the union observed a slight increase of +0.38 point.

The CGT remains second, but observes a significant decline: 22.96%, or -1.89 point.

On the third place of the podium, Force Ouvrière remained almost stable at 15.24% (-0.36), ahead of the CFE-CGC (11.92%, +1.23), and the CFTC (9.50%, +0.02).

Unsa grew slightly (5.99%, +0.64), as did Solidaires (3.68%, +0.23).

But these two unions do not reach the 8% mark, essential since 2008 to be "representative" at the national inter-professional level.

CFDT and Unsa rejoice

These results come from the compilation of the results of the professional elections over the period 2017-2020.

The CFDT congratulated itself in a press release on "consolidating its number one position", however regretting a "drop in participation".

“The employees of the private sector have once again made the choice of a useful unionism, which responds to their concerns.

By their vote, they expressed their confidence in a colleague who represents them, in an organization that acts daily to improve their life at work, ”she commented.

The Unsa is also delighted with its progress, stressing that it is "the only non-categorical trade union organization to progress in terms of points and votes".

It even goes before the CFTC with regard to the representativeness of the public and private together, becoming the fifth trade union organization, according to its press release.
