Lil Nas X reveals her SNL wardrobe crash wasn't a publicity stunt

This weekend, Lil Nas X found himself in a bad spot when his pants ripped live on the set of

Saturday Night Live

. So in full choreography while he sang his hit

Montero (Call Me by Your Name)

, he found himself forced to end his performance by hiding his privacy with his hands. And as he explained, it was absolutely not a publicity stunt, but indeed bad luck!

"I'm going down the pole, doing my sexy little descent and boom!" I smell the air. I'm like, "OK, I really feel a little breeze." And I also felt it continued to tear when I was squatting. Everyone was leaving the stage, and the people from the

SNL

 still hadn't noticed anything.

They were like, "Come on, Nas, you have to get ready for the next song."

I said, "I literally can't leave or everyone here is going to see it all. Bring me a towel, please," "he explained on set to Jimmy Fallon, who has then broadcast a video of the rehearsals.

“I want anyone who thinks this was a publicity stunt to see this.

It wasn't.

I would never intentionally rip my pants in public, ”he added.
