Draknästet is about entrepreneurs presenting their business idea.

If they are lucky, they get help and money from a group of investors and venture capitalists - the so-called dragons.

The program was broadcast on SVT between 2009 and 2010 with Ebba Blitz as host and is based on the Japanese format Dragons Den.

A well-known format

- Draknästet is a well-known format for the audience, which in this round offers a great platform for young people's innovation and dreams from all over Sweden, says Anna Luuk Priske, fact commissioner SVT.

The new season of Dragon Nest offers five new, but well-known, dragons.

Among others, the former football referee Jonas Eriksson, Sara Wimmercranz who has been named Sweden's most powerful tech investor and Jacob de Geer who has had great success with various payment services.

"Have invested everything"

In the wake of the pandemic, start-ups are breaking new records in Sweden and 2020 was a record year.

- The entrepreneurs have invested everything in their business ideas - and are now equipped to the teeth in front of the dragons in the hope of getting the investment that can mean everything for their continued operations, says Johan Liljeroth, project manager SVT.
