On May 23, a ceremony to celebrate the 70th anniversary of Tibet’s peaceful liberation was held at the Potala Palace Square in Lhasa.

The Tibet Peaceful Liberation Monument is opposite the Potala Palace across the square.

At 9 o'clock in the morning, more than 1,000 cadres and workers, officers and soldiers of the Armed Police Force, teachers and students, retired cadres and workers, monks and nuns, and public representatives entered the square one after another, facing the Tibet Peaceful Liberation Monument, holding chrysanthemums, and standing solemnly.

In the performance of the song, the soldiers of honor carried 9 flower baskets slowly towards the Tibet Peaceful Liberation Monument.

The flower baskets were presented in the name of the party, the people's congress, the government, the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, the military region and the people's organization, and the people of all ethnic groups.
