[Explanation] Return to the studio by bicycle after class, complete the design drawings on the computer, and then debug the equipment in the laboratory... This is the daily routine arrangement of Liu Xin, a junior at Nanchang Hangkong University. Most of his spare time is devoted to A "auto-climbing wheelchair" is designed and built.

Liu Xin was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at birth.

Talking, writing, walking... the life behaviors naturally completed by his peers are extremely difficult for him.

It was because of his own deep understanding that Liu Xin had the idea of making an "automatic wheelchair climbing stairs" because of the inconvenience in life and study of a senior who had a high paraplegia in the past.

When I was in class, I saw a senior who was in a wheelchair. When he went up and down the stairs, he couldn’t get on his wheelchair. Four or five people were needed to help him. I knew from his mouth that the suitability of wheelchairs on the market Not too strong, especially for students in school, I wonder if I can try to build one.

After establishing the goal, Liu Xin immediately set out to form a team. He is mainly responsible for the mechanical part and needs to draw a lot of parts drawings. This must overcome the tremor caused by cerebral palsy. Therefore, Liu Xin conducts 40 minutes of strength training almost every day.

If my arms are strong, it can alleviate some of my shaking symptoms, so I still have to do exercises all the time, (every day) 200 push-ups, 20 or 30 pull-ups, sit-ups, and standing jumps.

It is with this perseverance that Liu Xin, who loves invention and creation since childhood, has now applied for 8 national utility model patents and won the first prize in the National University Student Mechanical Innovation Design Competition.

According to Zheng Fei, Liu Xin's former counselor, his persistence and hard work stemmed from his unremitting pursuit of dreams.

He is a very strong (spiritual), a model by my side. In the process of military training, he will not think that I am different from other classmates, so he will lower his requirements. He will still come with high requirements. Asking himself, he himself is in the process of chasing dreams, slowly realizing his dreams.

In the laboratory, Liu Xin is operating and debugging the smart stair-climbing wheelchair.

He introduced to reporters some unique features of his wheelchair.

The wheelchairs on the market don’t have that kind of mutation-proof structure. They just go upstairs to the top step. If they use crawlers, they will suddenly incline. There is a smart telescopic pole in front of me, which can be put down. It can slowly make this chair transition.

In addition, Liu Xin has also designed voice recognition, automatic driving and other module functions in this wheelchair. He will participate in a national competition soon. He said frankly that he hopes that more people will understand the attention and participate in the development of this wheelchair. The wheelchair is ready.

After it is pushed to a larger platform, it is beneficial to attract more interested people to develop technology together. When it is used for real promotion, people need to improve it. If it can be used in real life, I think the contribution to society is not small, so I decided to make it.
