"Takayama", which has the theme of hunting for hawks, was unable to participate in the cruise due to heavy rain in the latter half of the Edo period, and the main body was burned down by the great fire at the end of the Edo period, making it a "rest mountain". However, the local preservation society has been restoring it for three years.
Next year, I am planning to participate in the Yamahoko cruise for the first time in 196 years, and on the 24th, I attached a part of the Shintai and hangings to the body of the assembled mountain and opened it to the press.
This time, the mountain is covered with a pattern and carpet of the fantasy animal "Kirin" that experts plan to restore with Nishijin-ori based on the literature, and inside is a falconer remade in the Meiji era. ), Inukai, and Taruoi.
In the future, the preservation society will install pine trees on the roof of about 7.6 meters before the cruise next year for the production of other hangings.
Junji Yamada, Chairman of the Takayama Preservation Society, said, "When I actually put on the hangings, it looked good and became more realistic for my return. I will proceed with preparations while praying for the end of the plague."
As a kid, Takayama joined the line with a hanging scroll in place of the Shintai, but the Yamahoko cruise continued last year and has been canceled.
