Beginning on May 23, Wuyuan, Jiangxi, was hit by heavy rainfall, which caused water to accumulate in urban roads and flooded farmland in many areas.
In the urban area of Wuyuan, some sections of the road were heavily waterlogged, making it difficult for vehicles and pedestrians to travel, and a more than ten-meter-long wall on the side of the road was also washed down by water, and several cars broke down in the water. The local government organized relevant departments for rescue in time.
In addition, heavy rainfall also caused many farmlands to be flooded. In Qi Village, Ziyang Town, Wuyuan County, heavy rain caused river water levels to rise, and hundreds of acres of farmland on both sides of the river were flooded.
Vegetable sheds and paddy fields in many villages were flooded.
