It was a highly dramatic final.

When the last audience votes were to be called, it was between Italy, France and Switzerland.

But Italy's Moonlight with its Zitti e buoni got the most votes from TV viewers and took home the fight.

Tusse outside the top 10

Tusse got 63 points from the TV viewers, 46 points from the jury groups and landed on 109 points, which was enough for a 14th place.

The jury vote was a thriller with an unusually large spread of the jury groups' twelve.

No less than 16 different countries came home with at least twelve each - but Sweden was left without.

France and Switzerland got the most: eight full points each.

- Unbelievable!

It shows that it is an unusually strong final, said SVT's commentator Edward af Sillén.

The Swedish jury group's twelve went to Malta, presented by Carola Häggkvist.

Tonight's jumbo was Britain's James Newman who went to the finish line completely without points, neither from the jury groups nor the spectators.
