The post-Brexit United Kingdom, an isolated and cracked country?

Brexit has been in effect since January 1, 2021, but five months later, relations between the European Union and the United Kingdom are far from appeased.

Witness the reluctance of the British to implement the agreement on fishing or the denial of the signature of Prime Minister Boris Johnson on the border between Ireland and Great Britain which passes between the two islands.

Publicity

The slogan "Global Britain" which announced a bright future is struggling to see the light of day.

London has yet to sign the fabulous Brexiters-touted free trade agreement with the United States.

As for the agreement with Japan, it is only a copy and paste of the EU / Japan agreement.

The UK is struggling to find its place in the world ... and finds itself isolated.

The last local elections have highlighted the fragility of the United Kingdom.

Building on their success, the Scots are again calling for a referendum on independence.

Wales has seen a surge in nationalism, and Northern Ireland scuffles between Catholic and Protestant communities.

The UK is cracking.

Brexit and Covid led to a fall in GDP but, driven by the success of the vaccination campaign which masks the chaotic management of the beginnings of the pandemic, Boris Johnson surprisingly retains a good popularity rating.

Until when ?
