“The tactics that we have chosen in recent days have yielded results,” the governor said in a video message, which he posted on his page in the social network “Vkontakte”.
He added that such a result was achieved thanks to the well-coordinated work of regional forces, the Russian Emergencies Ministry and Avialesoohrana employees.
“The forecast is that dry days with high air temperatures are ahead of us, and, most importantly, the weather is still very windy,” he added, noting that “it’s too early to relax.”
Earlier it was reported that firefighters extinguished the largest forest fire with an area of over 11 thousand hectares in the Tyumen region.
