This one, 15 meters high, is located one kilometer off the archipelago.

This destination is very popular with tourists, especially for scuba diving.

A rich underwater fauna

The natural event took place in front of a group of divers from Aggressor Adventures, who were on board a boat.

“Unfortunately, today our guests […] attended a unique event,” she said in a post on Facebook.

No one was injured, however.

The specialized magazine specifies that the place surrounding the structure shelters a particularly rich underwater fauna.

Whale sharks, turtles, dolphins and manta rays are notably species that can be observed in the area.

The island takes its name from Charles Darwin, the British scientist who worked on the theory of evolution.
