A track and field team member who served as an anchor at Komazawa University, who won the overall victory in this year's "Hakone Ekiden," was arrested by the Kanagawa Prefectural Police for doing obscene acts on a 17-year-old high school girl.

The person arrested was Takushin Ishikawa (21), a fourth-year student at Komazawa University, who belongs to the track and field club.

According to the police, in January last year, in January, at a hotel in Kawasaki city and in Tokyo, while knowing that he was under 18 years old, he said that he had done an obscene act to a 17-year-old female high school student who was a second year high school student at that time. There is a suspicion of violating the Youth Development Ordinance.

The two met through a matching app, and they have denied some of the charges, saying, "I thought the woman was 18 years old."

Ishikawa ran the final 10 wards as an anchor in the "Hakone Ekiden", which was the overall victory of Komazawa University, and cut the goal tape.

Komazawa University says, "We are checking the facts and cannot say anything at this time."
