Her favorite quote:

The war destroys people but nothing stops the dreams of the survivors.

Why this book?

  • Because it is a strong novel which presents us with intertwined,

    sometimes thwarted

    destinies

, with important themes such as identity, tolerance, family and religious values. An unforgettable story with women of character, who do not give up, who heal their scars and who move forward always and again dragging those they love in their wake. Can you build your life on a sham? And if so, what can be the consequences for future generations?

  • Because to present these three existences to us, the author uses

a precise writing like a lace, bewitching, enveloping, majestic. Every word, every sentence, is in its place, no length, no unnecessary digressions or frills. Daily newspapers to discover, rarely linear, sometimes deeply upset by an event, a piece of paper, a contract, a meeting, a glance…. A kaleidoscope of individuals, places, emotions, situations. And a fine thread, beautifully well thought out that connects the three parts of a story that crosses time and countries

  • Because it is a long time since I had read such a poignant book

(which I left with regret) whose powerful characters hide their flaws to show only their capacity for resistance.

How long the road to resilience is, but how beautiful it is!

This book was read with

great interest.

The three women are courageous, endearing, as if they really existed.

I accompanied them throughout the pages as I would have made friends of whom I would have been proud because they did not allow themselves to be influenced.

A whole range of emotions!
