From July 1, the Dacquois police will be armed.
This is what the mayor (various right) of the Landes city announced in a video in a video posted on social networks.
He explains that this decision aims to "better ensure the safety of the Dacquois with police officers capable, if necessary, of intervening in situations of serious danger".
He also points to the exposure of agents in the exercise of their missions, "the news shows it on a daily basis", estimates the elected.
And, he sees with this measure a possibility for them to "defend themselves in the event of aggression".
