Previously, people were tolerantly silent about this. Well, they were silent ... They discussed the changing society constantly, but among themselves in the kitchen, did not speak publicly, fearing to be immediately enrolled in the ranks of the National Association with all the ensuing consequences in the form of stereotyped accusations of belonging to the extreme right ideology. And now, it seems, it is dead. It got so much that the screen of tolerance fell off. And from all the cracks flowed as if the dam had burst. The first to speak were retired military men. The situation is critical, France is on the verge of a civil war, something urgently needs to be changed. The authorities called them rebels in slippers and sent them in the forest.

Offended, those who continue to serve, including young recruits, 2 thousand people, who are usually obliged to silently and neutrally look at everything from the outside, stood up for them. How serious is everything in the country, even if such people are ready to break the rules in order to warn of impending danger. Free aggression (no one will stop, no punish), as it is called in France, has swept the entire society, especially the youth.

No matter how you turn on the news, a chill runs through the body from the number and sophistication of crimes. Either a man who had served time for violence and released ahead of schedule in Merignac on the street caught up with his former 31-year-old wife, shot her in the legs, and when she fell, doused her with gasoline and burned her alive. The couple have three children, three, seven and 11 years old. Either another man came to work with a pistol, after arguing with the boss, he shot him, and at the same time a colleague several times in the head, then hid in the forest. Then a French addict from Mali beat his neighbor, a 65-year-old Jewish woman, a doctor and a nursery director, in the middle of the night. He beat her with his fists, dragged her around the apartment, and then threw her out of the balcony, yelling something about the devil of the district. They did not judge him, they decided that he was crazy. They either cut the head of the teachers, or kill the police with a knife. Another grandfather said that his grandson was stabbed six times forthat the washing machine was making too much noise. In short, some kind of game. And the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Gerald Darmanen himself speaks about this game.

It is this expression that he uses - the savagery of society. Recently, the minister only has time to express his indignation or words of support. Not a week goes by without a serious incident in which the victims are law enforcement officers. In Rambouillet, a police officer was stabbed to death; in Avignon, drug dealers were shot dead in broad daylight. At the commemoration ceremony, there was one brigadier commander who, a few days later, himself found himself in a coma - he was shot at with fireworks during the next suburban riots in the Loire, on the other side of the country.

On Saturday, a gendarme was also wounded by fireworks during a banned pro-Palestinian demonstration in Paris. They are tired, they are annoyed, they are tired of impunity and their own helplessness. They also wrote an open letter to Macron. They also called on to act decisively, to restore order in the country and at the same time to protect those who are ready to serve. One of the members of the police union told me that now he feels in front of these gangs of teenagers as if he is standing in front of them with his pants down. It turns out that the police are forbidden to shoot at the car that rams their barriers. You must not start a chase because this could lead to an accident. In general, for each shot, they will then be dragged in for interrogation. And here such people in uniform, bound hand and foot, four people, enter the area in a police car, where 50 people are already waiting for them with stones, firecrackers, fireworks and "Molotov cocktails".

What can they oppose?

And they arrange a bacchanalia, then scatter, and the police take their feet.

Impunity spurs excitement and desire to move on.

Now, my interlocutor confesses to me, after the murder in Avignon, all limits have been removed, there are no restrictions (conscience, morality), everything is possible.

This youth is very aggressive and is not afraid of anything.

Among them there are many of those who either came from abroad themselves, or their parents did it, who, however, failed to convey to their children a feeling of gratitude to the country that sheltered them.

And children often have dual citizenship and the same double confusion in their heads.

They do not feel like full-fledged Frenchmen, or, for example, Algerians.

It is difficult for them to fit into society, to rise in it, therefore they often follow the simplest path - to gangs and criminals.

One of the proposals on hearing is to deprive them of French citizenship and expel them from the country. On paper - simple, in practice - difficult to implement. Ideally, the trade union told me, it would be necessary to take all these 600 districts in France, where the laws of the republic are no longer in force, and block them. Surround them with an army and start a sweep. All drug dealers, Islamists and other dangerous persons to be pulled out of there and sent to hell, to a separate island in the ocean. Because there are no places in prisons either, therefore people are released from there ahead of time or they are not imprisoned at all. At least another thousand 100 additional beds are still lacking. But any cleansing of such areas will lead to casualties, most likely on both sides, the policeman complains, which is why the authorities do not want to touch this, they do not want to stir up the situation. But they promise to toughen the punishment for attacks on policemen up to 30 years in prison. Also good, but not enough. Threats alone will not intimidate anyone. And this puny, obviously, only respects strength.

The calls and anger of the police were also, of course, tried to be attributed to the pre-election game. One of the leading TV channels invited a woman from the trade union, who was given the opportunity to express all the complaints, even listened seriously, agreed to something, and then asked the crown question: is it true that almost half of the law enforcement officers will now vote for all these letters? for Marine Le Pen? Indeed, almost 40% in the first round and more than 60% in the second are ready to vote for it. Not because they are for the National Association, the guest of the TV channel explained, but because all the other politicians who have been in power in recent years have not been able to do anything for security. Couldn't put things in order. There was not enough courage, will, desire. There can be many reasons. But now the situation is so neglected that there is simply nowhere to postpone further.Further changes in society will become irreversible, and the country will fall into chaos.

Someone calls it the decline of French civilization, as we knew it since the Second World War, someone - the civil war.

But the essence of all these letters boils down to one thing - no one is going to overthrow the government, people are asking the elect to start acting decisively or, if they are unable, to step aside and not interfere with others.

But who can become this other and who the French will ultimately trust in the next presidential election is still difficult to say.

Analysts' forecasts boil down to one simple phrase - anything can happen.
