It is a terrible crime that shakes the Lüneburg Heath: a four-year-old and his mother die violently - and the police find the body of another child.

Is it eleven-year-old Lilli Marie who has been missing since the death of her mother and little brother?

That is still unclear, the autopsy of the body will show it, said a spokesman for the Lüneburg public prosecutor's office on Tuesday. It is also unclear when the results will be available. Previously, the police cordoned off the spot on a forest path near the village of Heber im Heidekreis, and forensics officers in white protective suits sifted through the site of the child's body.

The eleven-year-old has been missing since Sunday noon.

Previously, two bodies had been found in a single-family house in Bispingen in the Heidekreis.

It was the four-year-old boy and his 35-year-old mother.

According to the public prosecutor's office, both had traces of external use of force.

In Schneverdingen, around 20 kilometers away, an urgent suspect was arrested on Sunday afternoon - the life partner of the woman who was killed.

An arrest warrant was issued against the 34-year-old for two murders, and he was placed in custody.

The man has not yet commented.

His motive: unknown.

Search with a fighter jet

In search of the eleven-year-old, the police used sniffer dogs, helicopters and drones were in action, even the Bundeswehr was looking for the missing girl with a fighter jet.

Thermal images were evaluated and seven "relevant points" were searched, said a police spokesman.

At first nothing was found.

Or had someone seen something in the small town of Bispingen?

The people there should be questioned, the police spokesman announced that around 150 households were visited on Monday.

The search began on Sunday and was expanded in a circle around the scene.

Until the officials finally found what they were looking for at Heber in the Schneverdingen area, near Bundesstraße 3.

In connection with the missing child, the police also seized the suspect's car with a license plate from Diepholz.

The property in Bispingen, where the fatal act of violence took place, was cordoned off by the police with a tape recorder. There was a small scooter at the entrance to the red brick house, the newspaper was still in the mailbox and a welcome sign hung on the front door. A stuffed animal, a monkey, sat on the edge of the property, and there were two candles next to it.
