Their lie to the production of the show

Season 5 of

Married at First

Sight therefore ends, and the couple keeps a very good impression of their participation, considering that they were "completely free" during filming. "I think it was seen, I was free to be shy and to be afraid", smiles Matthieu. For her part, Laure was much more comfortable. "I really ignored the cameras completely," she analyzes. "I don't know how to lie, I don't know how to be someone else. And I think it felt."

If the couple have felt so free, it may also have been because they lied to the production, setting up a little getaway away from the cameras by hosting their first weekend together without telling the show crews. .

"I asked the taxi to go around her neighborhood to come and pick her up, so that only the two of us would go to the countryside," recalls Matthieu.

"We needed to be alone to see if it worked without the cameras, if what we were feeling was genuine."

"The day Mathieu came and discovered my apartment, I had printed a few photos, including photos of the weekend when I was with Mathieu's dog," says Laure.

A reporter from the show asks him who this dog is.

"Not knowing how to lie, I confessed. We got into a bit of a fight," she smiles.

The couple also say they are buying a house in the countryside, and can not imagine participating in other reality shows.

Even if the viewers of M6 could perhaps find them in the future in another emblematic program of the chain: Beijing Express.

"It's something I would love to do," confirms Laure.
