On May 16, the Zhangjiakou City Fire Rescue Detachment received a report saying that in a factory area in Xuanhua District of the city, a man attempted to jump into a large mixer to commit suicide.
After receiving the alarm, the command center immediately dispatched the Xuanhua District Brigade to dispatch an emergency rescue fire truck, an urban 32-meter ascending fire truck, and 13 commanders and fighters rushed to the scene.
At 7:24, fire rescue personnel arrived at the scene. After investigation, they learned that the man who committed suicide climbed to the top of the mixer tower in the factory after drinking due to a debt dispute. He was emotional and seemed to have thoughts of committing suicide.
Since the top of the tower is 6 stories high and the protective measures are simple, men are in danger of jumping off or stumbled at any time.
The police and family members at the scene climbed the ladder to the top of the tower. After 30 minutes of persuasion and comfort, the man finally calmed down, but due to drunkenness and prolonged emotional agitation, he was exhausted and lost consciousness.
After understanding the situation, the rescuers immediately launched operations, using the 32-meter climbing car to adjust the rescue platform to the top of the tower, and the rescuers and the families of the police jointly transferred the suicidal person to the rescue platform.
At 8:15, the man was successfully rescued and handed over to 120 medical staff.
