Ibaraki Prefecture and Mito City announced on the 18th that they have confirmed that 31 new people have been infected with the new coronavirus.
A total of 9125 people have been confirmed infected in the prefecture.
Mito City announced that one person who had been receiving medical treatment after being confirmed infected had died, bringing the total number of people who died in the prefecture to 138.
In addition, Ibaraki Prefecture announced that 33 of the confirmed infections had been infected with the mutated coronavirus, bringing the total to 490.
