They have had their day, but they left their mark on it… And a lot of their fossils.

Do you see who I'm talking about?

Dinosaurs, of course.

During 90 fascinating minutes, the documentary "Au temps des dinosaures" (produced by Bonne Pioche and available in free replay on France.tv until June 20) brings them back to life thanks to beautiful synthetic images, and enlightens them from a new perspective.

Smarter, more evolved, more feathered !, sometimes fierce but also endowed with a powerful maternal instinct… The creatures portrayed by Pascal Cuissot and his team have nothing in common with the representations of “Jurassic Park”, “Arlo” or from "The Ice Age".

The reason ?

The director has based his work on the latest discoveries of paleontologists around the globe.

Pascal Cuissot looks back for us on the genesis of his feature film, as well as on its three main characters, each of whom embodies a facet unknown to the inhabitants of the Cretaceous.

He is accompanied by Joël Ignasse, paleontology and space expert from

Sciences et Avenir

magazine

.
