In Tokyo, a virus test for a highly infectious "N501Y" mutation confirmed that approximately 77% of 416 people were infected.

On the 18th, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government announced the test results for the mutant virus as a new report to the Tokyo Metropolitan Government on the 13th of this month.



According to this, 413 men and women between the ages of 10 and 90 and 3 people whose age and gender are unknown were infected with the virus with the highly infectious "N501Y" mutation. It was confirmed.



542 people were tested, and about 77% were confirmed.



By age group, 134 people were in their 20s, 79 people were in their 30s, and 60 people were in their 40s, accounting for about 66% of people in their 20s to 40s who were confirmed to be infected.



In addition, the infection route was almost identified in 27 people, 19 in "home", 6 in "facility", and 2 in "acquaintance".



Four of the "in-facility" were residents of the same Elderly Housing with Care, and a total of five people were infected with the mutant virus at this facility.



With this, 6702 people have been confirmed to be infected with the mutant virus in Tokyo so far.



It was also confirmed that three men and women in their 70s and 80s who were infected with the mutant virus died on the 18th.



Twenty-one people have died from being infected with the mutant virus in Tokyo.
