If we hoped to sip our glass of wine in a T-shirt on Wednesday for the reopening of the terraces, we would have to bet on a k-way instead.

Because the gloomy weather, installed since the beginning of the month on almost all of France, should not improve immediately.

After months of closure, the terraces of bars and restaurants will once again be able to welcome customers, this Wednesday, with a 50% gauge and a maximum of six people per table.

But the capricious weather could well upset this long-awaited meeting.

A time which should last "at least until May 24 or 25"

According to Météo-France forecasts, scattered showers are expected during the day over the entire northern half of the country, from the Paris region, through the Grand-Est, the Center, the Massif Central, part of Brittany and the Hauts-de-France. On the temperature side, it will be 14 ° C in Lille, 15 ° C in Paris, 13 ° C in Metz and 16 ° C in Rennes. The inhabitants of the southern half of France should be a little better off, Météo-France forecasting sun for the departments of the south-east and Corsica, and a few clouds for the regions of Nouvelle-Aquitaine and the Occitanie.

Showers are still expected on the Auvergne Rhône-Alpes side.

On the temperature side, we expect big differences in the afternoon between the regions: 21 ° C in Marseille, 15 ° C in Biarritz, 14 ° C in Bourg Saint Maurice and 18 ° C in Montélimar.

And unfortunately, to find the sun and the heat, it will probably be necessary to wait until June: “This cool air mass will remain until the end of the month, with showers and temperatures below normal for the season, at least until May 24 or 25, ”explained Jérôme Lecou, meteorologist at Météo-France, at

this weekend.
