The corresponding warning is valid in the capital from 11:00 to 18:00.

At the same time, from 09:00 to 21:00 in Moscow and the Moscow region, a "yellow" level of weather hazard was declared due to wind gusts of up to 15 m / s.

Tatyana Pozdnyakova, chief specialist of the Moscow meteorological office, told RT in more detail about the weather in the Moscow region.

“Today and tomorrow + 27 ... + 29 ° С awaits us.

In fact, such a high temperature, that is, a temperature above + 25 ° C, is not such an exception for Moscow at the end of the second decade of May.

There were even higher temperatures.

In some years, almost the entire fourth five-day week in May was quite warm.

The longest period of such very warm weather, with temperatures even higher than +30 ° С, was observed in 2013.

This heat in May is never sustainable, ”she said.

At the same time, according to the meteorologist, the second half of the week in the capital will be held in a more moderate temperature background.

“This very warm period is replaced by a wave of cool air.

A similar thing will happen with us in the second half of the week.

The air temperature will drop significantly both at night and during the day - by 8-9 ° C.

So the period of very hot weather, unfortunately, will fall at the beginning of the working week, and on weekends the weather will already be moderately warm, which will be more in line with May norms, ”Pozdnyakova said.

On the eve of the portal "Meteovesti" reported that hot weather is approaching Moscow, which has not been for more than a century.

According to weather forecasters, on May 17, the thermometer will reach values ​​that have not been conquered in the entire post-war history - + 28 ... + 30 ° С.

“There has never been such a heat wave on May 17 in the entire history of regular meteorological observations.

The record of distant 1897 will fall, when meteorologists recorded +29.1 ° С on that day, ”the message said.
