"There is a beautiful legend, exquisite stones can sing..." In the Changbaishan Manchu Culture Museum of Baishan City, Jilin Province, there is a set of stone chimes that can make beautiful notes.

Recently, when the reporter visited the museum for an interview, the staff played the classic song "The Return of Targeting" on the spot.

According to Zhao Guoping, the producer of the stone chime, the production of the chime lasted for two years. The stone chips used were collected from the local area of Baishan, a total of 24 pieces, which were used to play the bass, midrange and treble respectively.

The stone chime is a relatively primitive percussion instrument, which appeared much earlier than the chime.

Previously, Jilin Province had discovered a stone chime dating from 4500 to 5000 years ago at the site of the Jinjiang River Mouth in the ancient city of Neyin in Changbai Mountain.
