It could hardly be more idyllic: The British National Trust is looking for an employee to manage the castle of St. Michael's Mount in Cornwall.

The former abbey from the 12th century is considered the counterpart of Mont-Saint-Michel in Normandy on the other side of the English Channel.

Similar to the famous parish in France, St. Michael's Mount is a mudflat elevation that can be reached on foot at low tide.

They are looking for a Castle Officer, as it is called on the website of the tourist attraction, including an official apartment in the castle.

The tasks include, among other things, being responsible for the security of the lock and the objects in it, instructing employees and moving furniture and hanging pictures during cleaning work.

How much salary the new Castle Officer will get is not stated in the job advertisement.

You have a sea view from every room, Castle Steward Duncan Murdoch assured in an interview with the BBC.

But he also warned: "You can't have pizza delivered to your door here, you should be prepared for that."
