After that, women need more time to recover

Caesarean section ... an inevitable alternative when worries about "normal"

In some cases, cesarean delivery is an alternative to natural childbirth, as is the case when feeling fear and anxiety, and in others it is necessary to perform a cesarean delivery, as it is if the placenta blocks the way out.

The Vice President of the German Society of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Prof. Frank Leuven, explained that the great concerns and psychological obstacles to natural childbirth are among the reasons for resorting to cesarean delivery.

It is also better to resort to cesarean delivery if the fetus is facing its breech, not with its head, towards the vagina.

In some cases, Leuven added, there is no escape from a cesarean delivery.

For example, if the fetus has severe anemia, or the placenta is blocking the exit route.

For her part, German gynecologist Alexandra Finkel said that the problem with a cesarean delivery is that women usually need a long time to recover after a cesarean delivery, noting that a cesarean delivery is a major operation that causes pain, and of course it can also be accompanied by some complications.

Finkel recommends that women wear maternity underwear for two to three weeks after the operation, for more comfort, and not to form any pressure on any part of the body.

Then they are switched to nightgowns to reduce the touch of the wound, which is often painful.

If the wound is itchy, placing a bandage in the freezer, then using it to cool the cesarean scar may help reduce itching.

One of the problems, after a cesarean delivery, is fear of using the toilet, due to pressure.

Although these concerns are not justified, it is recommended to eat more foods rich in dietary fiber, such as vegetables, fruits and whole grain products, and to drink more fluids, in order to reduce constipation and stimulate bowel movement.

Nursing at home

In order to make the time after a cesarean delivery at home as comfortable as possible, mothers should receive support from relatives or a specialist nursing service at home for at least 14 days;

Movement after the operation is restricted for a longer period than after natural childbirth.
