Yamanashi Prefecture and Kofu City have announced that a total of nine men and women have been confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.
A total of 1396 people have been confirmed infected in the prefecture.
According to the prefecture, it was newly confirmed that five men who had been confirmed to be infected were infected with the mutated virus.
Infection with the mutated virus was confirmed in 227 people in the prefecture.
