[Explanation] Planting trees in spring, planting flowers in summer, sweeping leaves in autumn, and raising koi in winter... Zhao Dongmei, 50 years old this year, has been dealing with the animals and plants in the Puppet Manchukuo Palace all year round.

It is her responsibility to take care of the courtyard landscape. After all, every plant and tree here is the "teller" of history.

On May 14, Jilin Changchun Spring was a little gloomy, and a rain might be approaching. Zhao Dongmei trimmed the dead branches and rotten leaves in the courtyard to expose the new branches and be fully nourished by the rain.

The Puppet Manchukuo Palace was the palace where the last emperor of the Qing Dynasty Aixinjueluo Puyi lived as the puppet emperor of the Puppet Manchukuo.

Built in the style of the courtyard of the Japanese Akasaka Imperial Palace, the Toyu Garden covers an area of about 10,000 square meters and is the largest garden in the imperial palace of Manchukuo.

Back then, Puyi seldom came here, but his concubine often watched the beautiful scenery and fed koi in the East Royal Garden.

It is to restore some original palace life scenes, where some concubines have fed fish and traveled to the mountains.

These things are all in this (landscape), which is the existence of normal history.

[Explanation] The Imperial Palace Museum of the Puppet Manchukuo is now one of the three remaining palace sites in China. It is also a historical testimony to the Japanese imperialists' occupation of northeast China by force and the implementation of fascist colonial rule.

As a patriotism education base, the Palace Museum of the Puppet Manchukuo is now open to the outside world all year round.

In addition to repairing the palace buildings, restoring the garden landscape to the greatest extent is also one of the ways of displaying history in the Palace Museum of the Puppet Manchukuo.

For many years, Zhao Dongmei has been working as a "horticulturist". By searching for historical materials, she took good care of the trees left in the courtyard to restore the original appearance to the greatest extent.

Some materials of this park, photos, old photos, need to be found among a large number of old photos, and you have to look at it (trees) from the same angle, so that you can know if it was there at that time and whether it was it at that time. You have to look for it.

(It's hard) It's hard, it's hard.

[Explanation] Zhao Dongmei introduced that in the entire Palace Museum of the Manchukuo, more than 70 species of plants are growing vigorously, attracting more than a hundred species of birds to inhabit here.

Many visitors will stop at Dongyu Garden for a long time, hoping to "feel" the historical moments of that year.

Zhao Dongmei also hopes that everyone can learn more about the history of the Puppet Manchukuo through the scenes in front of them.
