“Over the past day, on May 14, 124 forest fires have been liquidated in Russia on an area of 3,101 hectares,” RIA Novosti is quoted as saying.
It is noted that by midnight on May 15, 64 forest fires were operating in Russia on an area of more than 64 thousand hectares.
The maximum area of fires was recorded in the Tyumen region, there were 19 fires on an area of 60 716 hectares.
Earlier it was reported that in the Novosibirsk region, military pilots conducted exercises to extinguish forest fires.
