Yuki Kitazumi, a Japanese journalist based in Yangon, was taken from his home by security forces on the 18th of last month, and was subsequently charged with causing anxiety to the citizens and disseminating false information. He was detained in a prison in Yangon.



According to the Japanese Embassy in Yangon, Mr. Kitazumi moved to Yangon International Airport on the morning of the 14th of Japan time and was released at the airport after 1:00 pm.
