  In response to domestic violence or extramarital affairs in marriages and families, Shan Guojun, vice president of the Beijing No. 1 Intermediate People's Court, said at the press conference that the court strengthened the powers of judges to intervene to solve the difficulties of the parties in providing evidence in domestic violence and abuse. Continue to conduct in-depth research on issues closely related to women's rights, such as the identification of joint debts of husband and wife, the benefits of demolition of rural married women, and strengthen the implementation of judicial protection of women's rights.

  According to data provided by the Beijing No. 1 Intermediate Court, in the past five years, the court has concluded 4,031 family cases, and the number of cases received has been increasing year by year, with divorce disputes and inheritance disputes accounting for the most prominent proportions.

  In the face of the continuous increase in various family cases and increasingly complex dispute types, the court explored professional, social and humanized solutions to family disputes, and met with the Beijing Women’s Federation Rights and Interests Department and the Beijing People’s Mediation Association on the spot. Sign a cooperation agreement to explore a mechanism for handling marriage and family cases through litigation and mediation.

  Shan Guojun said that the court should grasp the characteristics and laws of family cases in the development and change of the social and economic situation in the new era, establish a family-based family trial concept, pay attention to the softening of family disputes, and give full play to the women’s federations, mediation associations and other groups and social organizations. In the past five years, the transfer rate of family cases has risen from 27% to 35%, highlighting judicial flexibility and humanistic care.
