Since May, affected by the increase in upstream water supply, the water level in the upper reaches of the Heilongjiang main stream of the Sino-Russian border river has exceeded the pre-warning water level.
On the morning of May 10, the ground and part of the railings of the Riverside Park in Huma County were submerged by water.
Data provided by the Hydrological Department of Huma County in Daxinganling showed that as of 14:00 on the 10th, the water level in the Huma Town section of Heilongjiang reached 99.98 meters, which exceeded the warning water level by 0.48 meters.
According to changes in water conditions, Huma County has sent additional rescue teams to assemble on standby, and the flood control department has also increased the flood control force for downstream villages without dikes, and required all relevant personnel to be on duty to conduct 24-hour patrols on dangerous sections along the river.
