While the reopening of shops and terraces is looming, the epidemiologist Catherine Hill confided her concern Monday evening for Europe 1. For her, it is too early to project towards a deconfinement and the decline initiated in the intensive care units is still too fragile.

INTERVIEW

The number of patients sick with Covid-19 in intensive care services continues to decline slowly, falling below the 5,000 mark on Sunday.

The lights are gradually turning green, and the second stage of deconfinement, on May 19, synonymous with the reopening of terraces and shops, is approaching.

And that worries epidemiologist Catherine Hill.

"It's very risky", she declared Monday evening on Europe 1. According to her, we are "not quite" out of the woods.

"The decline has started but it is very fragile," she insisted.

Despite the vaccination, it does not rule out a third wave of contaminations.
