[Explanation] 67-year-old Chen Jianfeng is a farmer in Taoyuan Village, Jinzhou City, Hebei Province. Although he was born with a missing right arm, he used his left hand to draw magnificent landscape paintings through self-study.
On May 9, the reporter met Chen Jianfeng who was painting in an ordinary farmyard in Taoyuan Village.
According to Chen Jianfeng, because his family was poor when he was a child, he started to help the family after he finished the third grade of elementary school.
But as long as he has time, he will copy the little man's book.

(I) was born a disabled person. I felt that I was different from others. I felt pressured. Sometimes I was ridiculed by others. I was very upset in my heart. Since then, I don’t want to go out. I can paint at home with peace of mind, and forget about the troubles when I paint, and I have become acquainted with painting since then.
[Explanation] After slowly growing up, Chen Jianfeng preferred to paint. No matter where he went, he took a sketchbook with him, and he was also painting when he was doing farm work.
Chen Jianfeng's father felt that there was no way out of painting, so he threw all the illustrations of his sleepless paintings into the pigpen.

My father was very opposed to this (painting), because at that time the family was very poor and couldn't afford (coal) oil, (the family did not allow) to stay up (night fee) oil painting, I waited for them to sleep at night, and got up to paint secretly.
[Explanation] It is worth mentioning that Chen Jianfeng draws on self-study. He said that his painting skills are all groped out bit by bit.
Chen Jianfeng is best at landscape painting. His landscape paintings are magnificent.
There are basically landscape paintings painted by him on the walls of the village houses in the surrounding villages.

The screen wall in my house was painted by Master Chen, and he painted very well. Not only did he paint well, he also had a good character, and he was kind and kind.

I sometimes retreat because I’m tired from staying up late. I wake up after sleeping and don’t want to move anywhere. When I move, it hurts and it hurts. Later I thought that this painting should never be thrown away. The painting is (mine) A kind of spiritual support, (no matter how tired you are), once you paint it, you feel a sense of happiness.
[Explanation] In 2014, Chen Jianfeng's wife lost sight of both eyes due to high blood sugar. Although she went to many hospitals, she was not optimistic.
The family's farming work is all over Chen Jianfeng's shoulders. While taking care of his wife, he still insists on painting. He hopes to hold a solo exhibition one day.

After painting so many paintings, the (economic) conditions at home are (not good), and I can't (install) it. I hope that when I have money, I will mount all the paintings so that everyone can appreciate it.
