Lin Yifu, honorary dean of the National Development Research Institute of Peking University and dean of the Institute of New Structural Economics, said at the first China Consumer Expo on May 7 that the holding of the Consumer Expo will be a new growth driver for Hainan.

China has the conditions to double the GDP scale in 2035 or the per capita income level in urban and rural areas on the basis of 2020.

As income levels increase, people's demand for a better life will also increase. Hainan’s Consumer Expo has captured this growth and has become a new driving force for Hainan’s high-quality development.
