Died ex-secretary of the Central Committee of the CPSU Yegor Ligachev

“Tonight, May 7, in Moscow, at the age of 101, the honorary citizen of the Tomsk region, Yegor Ligachev, died,” TASS quoted him as saying.

Ligachev was the secretary of the CPSU Central Committee from 1983 to 1990.

Earlier it was reported that the former Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Sergei Prikhodko died at the age of 65 after a long illness.
