[Explanation] Yang Dong, 37 years old this year, is a crew member of the second fleet of the Changchun Public Transport Group Bus Company. He is usually responsible for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
As soon as he had free time, he thought about inventing special tools for buses to provide safety guarantees for the master drivers.
On May 7, Yang Dong was busy debugging his three "new inventions" in the team workshop: automatic turn signal system, blind spot radar detection system, and blind spot auxiliary lighting system.
After successful debugging, these three inventions can be mass-produced and applied to the company's 246 buses.
Yang Dong introduced that in August 2020, he invented the door safety switch for buses-that is, the vehicle cannot be started when the door is not completely closed.
This not only ensures the safety of passengers, but also allows the vehicle to drive safely.
He said that with the addition of the above three "new inventions", he "made up" the "four great inventions" he was proud of.
Most importantly, the new invention allows blind spots to be "visible".

Installing this radar module can detect pedestrians or obstacles through radar when the driver is turning, and alert the driver in time through sound and light alarms. The loudspeaker outside the car can also remind passengers or pedestrians. The vehicle is turning, try to avoid the blind area of the vehicle.
[Explanation] Yang Dong told reporters that he studied business management, and because of his hobby of machinery manufacturing, he turned to car repair work.
Although he encountered many difficulties in the process of invention, he overcame them one by one.

Because we are not particularly good at some things, we also check the information ourselves, search on the Internet, ask for advice, and ponder a little bit. There are certain difficulties in the research process.
We are repairing cars and we are not specialized in researching these things. Certainly some of them are not well understood by ourselves. We have to consult some masters and search for information in many ways.
[Explanation] It is reported that the door safety switches have been installed on more than 200 buses of the company.
In the next step, Yang Dong will also study new inventions in vehicle rescue and other aspects to ensure driving safety in all aspects.
