Four people were injured in a knife attack on a Berlin subway station.

A 16-year-old was accompanied by a 20-year-old man on Wednesday evening at the Louis-Lewin-Straße train station in the Hellersdorf district, the Berlin police said on Thursday.

There was an argument between her and several surveyors.

Three of the four surveyors suffered injuries, some from a knife.

The 16-year-old suspect is also said to have inflicted a stab wound on the upper body of a witness.

All the injured were taken to hospital, two of them had to be hospitalized.

The 16-year-old and her companion were arrested on suspicion of dangerous bodily harm.

A penknife was found on the young woman and was confiscated as a possible murder weapon.

Her 20-year-old companion also carried a knife with her.

The criminal police took over the investigation.
