At 8 o'clock in the morning on May 6, due to several hours of heavy rainfall, a wall near Yima Primary School, Xinshiji Avenue, Beihai City, Guangxi was washed and collapsed, causing a billboard on the wall to fall and hit a middle school student passing by. .
When nearby passers-by saw it, they helped dial 119 to report to the police for help. After receiving the police, Beihai Fire Department sent a rescue team of 2 vehicles and 12 people to the scene for disposal.
At about 8:10, firefighters arrived at the scene. After investigation, the middle school student’s legs were pressed under the billboard. The firefighters first used jacks to fix the billboard, and then used the expander to expand the bottom of the billboard and successfully propped it up. The billboard rescued the trapped middle school students and moved them to a safe area.
According to the Beihai City Fire Rescue Detachment, a police situation of trapped vehicles and personnel appeared in many low-lying sections of the urban area that morning, and rescuers rescued 7 trapped personnel.
