Seismologists have registered an earthquake of magnitude 4.9 in the ocean off the southeastern coast of Kamchatka. This is reported by the Kamchatka branch of the Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
As noted, the epicenter of the earthquake was located 122 km from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky.
The source of tremors was located at a depth of 66 km.
Four earthquakes with a magnitude of up to 4.2 occurred on the night of Wednesday, May 5, in the Pacific Ocean.
