It is reported that the wooden work shop is divided into big wooden work and small wooden work. The big wooden work makes the beams and pillars of houses and pavilions; the small wooden work makes tables, chairs, benches and wardrobes.
In order to make the house beautiful, woodcarving and other techniques were derived from the woodwork, making the carved beams and paintings of the residences simple and elegant. Among them, Huizhou woodcarving, brick carving, stone carving and bamboo carving have the reputation of "Four unique emblems".
