SVT has reviewed 14 previous events in Swedish reality soaps that in various ways are similar to what has now happened in Paradise Hotel.

It is a spectrum, from abuses reported to the police to participants who testify to stuttering, in programs such as Big Brother and Paradise Hotel.

- Of course I look at it super seriously.

Sexual harassment must not occur in Paradise Hotel, says Matilda Snöwall, CEO of the production company Mastiff.

Do not recognize the image

At the same time, she does not recognize herself in the image that she believes has emerged in the media.

- We have a very professional and dedicated team that works with the program and has done so for a long time.

Of course, no one would see a nuisance without intervening and saying stop.

Of course we have zero tolerance for that.

Is there anything in particular you find misleading?

- That it would be common, I absolutely do not recognize myself in that picture.

Received criticism already in 2014

But previous participants have testified that cross-border sexual behavior of various kinds has taken place several times during the recordings.

Among other things, several participants criticized the production for stuttering and poor view of women as early as 2014.

- We have done the program for over 14 seasons and it is loved by those who work with it, by many viewers and by participants who choose to return year after year.

I have a hard time believing that they would do it if we did not take them seriously.

Matilda Snöwall does not want to answer questions about the suspected abuses in this year's season of Paradise Hotel with reference to the fact that the investigation is ongoing.

SVT has sought out the production companies Endemol and Meter, which have produced Big brother over the years.
