  The Centre for Health Protection of the Department of Health of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government announced on the same day that 15 new confirmed cases involving 7 men and 8 women, aged between 8 and 78 years old, were all imported cases. Among them, 13 cases arrived in Hong Kong from Nepal, and the remaining 2 cases were from Nepal. India and Indonesia.

  There were no new local cases on that day. This is the fifth consecutive day that Hong Kong has no local cases of unknown origin.

So far, there have been 11,771 cases in Hong Kong, including 11,770 confirmed cases and 1 suspected case.

  On the same day, the Hospital Authority announced that as of 9 am, a total of 12 confirmed patients had been discharged from the hospital in the past 24 hours. So far, a total of 11,404 confirmed or suspected patients have recovered and discharged.

A total of 112 confirmed patients are in 16 public hospitals and the Hong Kong Infection Control Center of North Lantau Hospital. Three of them are in critical condition, two are in serious condition, and the remaining 107 are in stable condition.

  Tang Jisheng, vice president of the Hong Kong Medical Council Licensed Doctors Association, said in an interview with a reporter from China News Agency that the local epidemic is relatively optimistic, but in view of the serious outbreaks in India and other countries, Hong Kong has a large number of imported cases every day, posing a threat to community safety.

He suggested that the SAR government should continue to strengthen measures to prevent imported cases and adopt more rigorous methods to reduce imported cases.
