Special USA prepares to return to the Moon
Armstrong, Aldrin and Collins The feat of Apollo 11
Astronaut Michael Collins, the third member of the first mission to reach the Moon, died this Wednesday at the age of 90.
While Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin stepped on the Moon in July 1969, Collins was left orbiting the satellite in one of the Apollo 11 modules.
"Today the country has lost a true pioneer. As a pilot in the Apollo 11 command module - whom some called the loneliest man in history - and as his colleagues walked the moon for the first time, he helped land a milestone for our nation, "NASA said in a statement.
