Samsung family decided to donate the artworks of Chairman Lee Kun-hee to the society.

There are many works of art with outstanding artistic and historical value, from national treasure-level cultural properties to works by famous painters.

The'Lee Kun-hee Collection', which was decided to donate, is estimated to be 23,000 pieces, and the evaluation amount is 2~3 trillion won.



Following the founder's Chairman Lee Byung-cheol, Chairman Lee Kun-hee's love for Korean antiques was also special. About 2,600 pieces of antiques go to the National Museum of Korea.



It included 14 national treasures such as'Inwangje Saekdo', which captured the moment when the fog rises from Gyeomjae Jeongseon, and 46 treasures such as the 14th century Goryeo Buddhist painting'Cheonsu Kannon Bodhisattva'.

1,400 domestic and foreign modern art works are donated to the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art.



These are masterpieces such as'The Bull' by Lee Joong-seop, a genius painter of unlucky,'The Woman Who Crumbles' by Park Soo-geun, the most Korean painter, and'Women and Jars' by Kim Whan-ki, who is changing the best price in Korea every day.




In addition, major French Impressionist works such as Monet's'Pond with Water Lilies' and Renoir's'Woman Reading a Book', and works that are indispensable in Western art history, such as Chagall's'Red Bouquets and Lovers', are also donated.




These are works that will instantly upgrade the National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art to a world-class art museum.
