The Indian mutated version of the COVID-19 has been monitored in at least 17 countries

The World Health Organization announced Tuesday that the Indian variant of Covid-19, which is suspected of plunging India into a major health crisis, has been detected in "at least 17 countries."

The organization said that version B.617.1, more widely known as the Indian mutant, had been detected in "at least 17 countries."

In recent days, this modified version was observed in several European countries (Belgium, Switzerland, Greece and Italy).

India became the epicenter of the epidemic a few days ago with the spread of the mutated version of the "Indian", which is the most populous country after China, and is setting new records daily in terms of infections.

On Monday, India recorded 352,991 new injuries in one day, the highest death toll in the world, in addition to 2,812 deaths, the highest national toll.

India is the fourth worst affected country in the world in terms of deaths, with more than 192,000 deaths.
